Marvel Rivals officially ushers in Season 7.5, bringing the highly anticipated debut of the master thief herself, Black Cat.
Beyond the new hero, this update introduces a game-changing Chain-CC Protection system, massive balance overhauls for heroes like Winter Soldier and Ultron, and the return of fan-favorite Battle Pass content.
New Hero: Black Cat Joins the Roster
Felicia Hardy has officially leaped into the fray. Following her heist against Kingpin and the discovery of the “Gilded Saint,” Black Cat is now a playable Duelist.
- New Lore: Dive into “Good Fortune” and “Message Received” to see how the fallout between Spidey and Felicia shakes out.
- Rank Reward: Players who reach Gold Rank this season will unlock the exclusive Black Cat – Beguiling Blue costume.
ESU Open Day Event & New Cosmetics
The ESU Open Day event runs from April 17th to June 12th. By completing event missions, you can score the Mantis – Black & Gold costume for FREE.

Game-Changer: The Chain-CC Protection System
To combat “stun-lock” frustration, Season 7.5 introduces a sophisticated protection mechanic. If you are bombarded with crowd control, the game will now help you fight back.

| Instant Purge | Immediately clears all active CC and grants 30% Tenacity for 3s. |
| Scaling Tenacity | Each new CC hit adds +10% Tenacity and +0.5s duration. |
| Total Immunity | At 100% Tenacity, you become fully CC Immune until the buff ends. |
| Exceptions | Cinematic moves (Emma Frost’s Carbon Crush, Monster Hulk’s World Breaker) bypass this system. |
Hero Balance Adjustments
Vanguards
- Emma Frost (Buff): Ultimate energy cost reduced (3400 → 3100).
- Deadpool (Nerf): Reduced burst damage and bonus HP in Gun Form Ultimate.
- Peni Parker (Adjustment): Lower base HP (650), but can now deploy 4 Cyber-Webs with increased projectile speed.
Duelists
- Winter Soldier (Rework): Bucky is shifting from a CC-heavy “bodyguard” to a lethal operative.
- Removed: Trooper’s Fist no longer Grounds enemies.
- Buffed: Kraken Impact Culling Threshold increased to 20%; Roterstern damage increased to 80.
- Elsa Bloodstone (Nerf): Increased cooldowns and reduced percentage damage against high-HP Vanguards.
- Human Torch (Shift): Now has 2 charges on Plasma Body with a 10m dash, making his mobility more “bursty” but predictable.
Strategists
- Ultron (Buff): His Ultimate now covers a 6m radius (up from 3m). Drones now bombard the area around the target rather than firing directly, providing massive zone pressure.
- Adam Warlock & Luna Snow (Buffs): Increased healing throughput and faster cooldown resets.
- Jeff the Land Shark (Nerf): Reduced damage falloff range and Ultimate recovery tweaks.
New Team-Up: Lucky Loan
A new synergy is entering the meta involving the latest hero:
- The Anchor: Black Cat gains a 5% damage boost.
- White Fox: Unlocks the Nine-Tailed Aura.
- Captain America: Unlocks the Vibranium Bastion.
Quality of Life & Fixes
- Clobberin’ Club: You can now send Duel invitations while matchmaking.
- Esports: You can now view and copy pro player reticles directly from their in-game homepage.
- Mantis Makeover: Fixed the eyebrows on the Oceanic Harmony costume.
