Daemons of the Shadow Realm will make its Japanese premiere this April 4, featuring a stacked voice cast that includes Kensho Ono (Diluc from Genshin Impact), Yume Miyamoto (Rikka from S.S.S.S. Gridman), and Junichi Suwabe (Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen). A new teaser trailer and poster were released in conjunction with the announcement.
The anime is an adaptation of a manga series by Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa, and is set in a world where humans can command supernatural creatures known as “Daemons”. Yuru and Asa are a pair of twins whose destiny is to rule over this world, and who must reunite in order to save it.
In addition to being a Hiromu Arakawa adaptation, Daemons of the Shadow Realm will bring together the same creative team behind the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime, with production being handled by Square Enix, Aniplex and Bones. The series will feature the opening theme “Tobu Toki” by Vaundy, and the ending theme “Tobou yo” by yama, with both songs having been written and composed by Vaundy.
