Animate is set to receive a permanent outlet in Kuala Lumpur, following the success of its first pop-up store in Malaysia. The new outlet is scheduled to open at Level 2 of LaLaport BBCC this October, and will feature a significantly expanded product selection for fans to enjoy.
Animate is Japan’s leading anime, comics, and games merchandise store, which has amassed over 120+ stores across Japan since its inception in 1983. The Malaysian pop-up store officially opened in November 2024, and was scheduled to close in May 2025, before having its stay extended thanks to strong community support.
The current pop-up store will still be open to visit from now until August 31. It features a wide range of exclusive anime products and merchandise ranging from RM15 onward, from well-known franchises such as Vocaloid, Hololive, Haikyuu!!, and more.
