Pixel Perfex and Eccentrix Studios have announced Earth Atlantis Abyss, a shoot ’em up roguelike set in the flooded world of the Earth Atlantis series. Rising Tide Publishing is bringing it to PC on Steam, with launch planned for Q1 2027.
You play as Pypher, a seventeen-year-old captain who takes her grandfather’s old submarine down into the abyss to find out what happened to him. The abyss has seven layers, and each one is darker than the last. The sub’s spotlight is how you see what’s coming, and every layer asks you to trade a little more safety for answers. Every layer ends in a boss fight, with eight bosses in all, built in the bullet-hell style the series is known for.
Between fights, the game turns into a packing puzzle. Weapons, engines, drones and hull modules come in different shapes, and all of them fit onto one small grid inside your ship. Merge matching parts to level them up, fuse two different weapons into a hybrid with a Dwarf Star torn from a boss, and keep an eye on heat and power so your guns don’t jam mid-fight. No two runs build the same ship.

Eccentrix integrates intense, claustrophobic, and deep gameplay mechanics with remarkable build variety and replayability.
