Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced a new wave of PAC-MAN content arriving in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, bringing Mecha Ghost mini-bosses, a new Sprite companion and the PAC-MAN Sidekick to the game.
The new content is available starting September 17, with PAC-MAN-themed Mecha Ghosts and Sprites remaining in-game through October 31, 2026.
Take On Mecha Ghost Mini-Bosses
Players can now encounter Mecha Ghosts, mini-bosses inspired by the classic pixel-art Ghosts from PAC-MAN. They appear across the Fortnite island, with increased spawn rates on the newly introduced PAC-MAN-themed islands. Defeating a Mecha Ghost rewards players with high-tier Mythic loot.
The update also introduces a new PAC-MAN Sprite companion, based on Blinky from the PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks animated YouTube series. Players can unlock the Sprite by following instructions through the in-game Cheat Panel. Once acquired, the companion provides a passive ability that cloaks the player and grants invincibility when they take damage.
PAC-MAN Sidekick Arrives
From September 19 to 25, the PAC-MAN Sidekick will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop alongside a selection of arcade-themed cosmetics. The animated Sidekick follows players during matches, and includes:
- Sidekick Emote
- Authentic arcade music jingles
- PAC-MAN sound effects
- Invincible companion gameplay
The Item Shop collection also includes the PAC-MAN Back Bling, which cycles between Cherry, Orange and Galaxian after players score eliminations, as well as the PAC-MAN Gloves Pickaxe, new Kicks footwear and additional cosmetics.
More PAC-MAN Content Across the Island
The new additions build on the PAC-MAN-themed content already introduced with the Override season, including the PAC-MAN Island, BLINKY Island and PINKY Island locations. Players can also discover various PAC-MAN-inspired Easter eggs around the island, including arcade machines and clouds shaped like PAC-MAN and the Ghosts.
The PAC-MAN-themed Mecha Ghosts and Sprites will remain available through October 31, 2026.
