HoYoverse has announced that Version 4.6 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” will launch on September 28, 2026.
Following the previous update’s story, Nihilux has revealed her identity as Aha, the Aeon of Elation. The Trailblazer will now join Pearl in an investigation into the Life Sciences Institute in Astropolis, where a dangerous plan to “weaponize the husk” threatens Planarcadia.
Pearl Joins the Playable Roster
Pearl will become a playable 5-star Ice character following the Path of Elation in Version 4.6, with her combat abilities built around her understanding of art. Pearl can consume “Certified Banger” to reduce a portion of incoming damage for all allies, while her “Deep Learning” state allows her to analyze a designated teammate’s combat data and gain an Enhanced ATK.
When the analyzed teammate follows the Path of Elation, Pearl’s Enhanced ATK also deals additional Elation DMG. Teams made entirely of Elation characters can trigger additional effects, including an extra turn for the designated teammate and large amounts of Punchline and “Certified Banger.”
Character and Light Cone Reruns
Version 4.6 will feature boosted drop rates for Pearl and her limited 5-star Light Cone, “Colors for Tomorrow.” The update will also bring an Evanescia rerun in the first half, with a Mortenax Blade rerun in the second half.
New outfits for Hyacine and Evanescia will also be released. Hyacine’s “Warm Cotton Skies” and Evanescia’s “Lunar Blossoming” will be available through the Outfit Show Window.
New Events and Gameplay
The update introduces several new activities:
- Love, Ghosts & Robots sees the Trailblazer help the resurrected Skott operate a mechatron workshop. Players will assemble and sell mechatrons while working toward turning the workshop into a five-star project.
- The combat-focused reality show Interastral Peace Gala: One Take will also begin during the update.
- A new gameplay feature, Astral Imagea, will allow Trailblazers to collect multiple Astral Imageas to accompany them on their adventures. Players can also team up with friends for the Astral Slammers Squad! challenge.
Honkai: Star Rail x Razer
HoYoverse has also announced a new collaboration with Razer. The lineup will include Silver Wolf LV.999-themed gaming peripherals, including a gaming chair, keyboard, mouse and headset. The collaboration products are planned for simultaneous release across multiple regions, with further details to be announced.
Meanwhile, the previously announced Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero crossover has revealed its characters. Ellen and Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero will join the cosmic adventure in Version 4.8.
Honkai: Star Rail is available on PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store and PS5.
