The 98th Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) took place on March 16, celebrating the biggest movies from the past year. Paul Thomas Anderson’s action-thriller One Battle after Another led with six awards, including the coveted Best Picture title; closely followed by Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which earned four awards.
K-Pop Demon Hunters continued its awards season streak with wins for not only Best Animated Film, but also Best Original Song, becoming the first non-Disney or Pixar animated film to do so. We also saw the first tie at the Oscars since 2013, with The Singers and Two People Exchanging Saliva sharing a win for Best Live-Action Short Film.
