HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail version 4.0, titled “No Aha at Full Moon,” will launch globally on February 13. The update introduces Planarcadia, a new major world themed around spectacle, attention, and entertainment, and marks the beginning of a year-long story arc centered on The Elation.
In version 4.0, players will explore Planarcadia and its core city, Duomension City, where society revolves around constant amusement and visibility. A central feature of the update is the Phantasmoon Games, a high-profile competition in which participants vie for the title of “Aeon for a Minute.” Multiple factions, including the Astral Express, the Interastral Peace Corporation, and the Stellaron Hunters, will play roles in the unfolding storyline.
The update also expands gameplay with new Elation-focused combat mechanics, introducing “Punchlines” and special battle phases influenced by the Aeon Aha. Several new locations, events, and permanent mode updates will be added, alongside new limited-time activities.
Two new 5-star characters will debut in version 4.0: Yao Guang, a Physical Elation character from the Xianzhou Alliance, and Sparxie, a Fire Elation character and popular in-universe streamer. 5-star characters like Black Swan, Evernight, Hysilens, Sparkle, Cerydra, and Rappa will also be featured in Warp events, with balance enhancements applied to Black Swan and Sparkle.
Finally, to celebrate the launch, players will receive login rewards, including a 20-pull bonus, a free outfit for Ruan Mei, in-game currency rewards, and additional events offering cosmetic items and a free 5-star character selector.
