From neon lights to wild jungles, Fortnite is going primal in more ways than one this season. Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 3 dropped last night with a brand new battle pass, cosmetics, and a huge change to the center of the map. Ranked Season Zero also continues until the end of the season, with a few tweaks made to improve gameplay experience.
Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite WILDS.
New Battle Pass: Optimus Prime & Purradise Meowscles
“Autobots, roll out!” — or you can, once you complete this season’s battle pass. All battle pass owners will be able to unlock the Optimus Prime Skin and Legendary Emote once you hit Level 100, while hardcore Transformers fans can purchase the Optimus Primal Bundle in the Item Store right now for a limited time only.
As for bonus skins, Purradise Meowscles will be unlockable later in the season by completing (presumably) cat-related quests. As a bonus, the season trailer also previewed a new Legendary Emote that references the iconic “This is fine” meme, which can be unlocked on Page 5 of the battle pass.
New Locations: Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound & Shady Stilts
The center of the map has collapsed to reveal a vast, hidden jungle with three new Points of Interest: Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound, and Shady Stilts. Use your new environment to your advantage by ascending to canopies for the high ground, slide in mud for speed and a temporary camouflage effect, and ride raptors and grind on vines for an even bigger speed boost.
You can also find new, dangerous vegetation in the new areas of the map. Shoot Bomb Flowers to create an explosion, shoot Stink Flowers to unleash toxic gas on nearby enemies, or hit Slurp Plants with your pickaxe to heal up.
New Weapons: Cybertron Cannon, Kinetic Boomerang & Flapjack Rifle
Five brand new weapons are king of the jungle this season: Thermal DMR, Flapjack Rifle, Kinetic Boomerang, Cybertron Cannon, and Wildwasp Jar. The Thermal DMR is already shaping up to be a staple as it gives players the ability to detect camoflauged enemies using thermal vision. The other interesting addition is the Kinetic Boomerang, which can be recalled early to trigger a small explosion.
A huge number of weapons will be returning this season from the previous one, while the fan favourite Drum Shotgun will also be taken out of the vault. Here’s the full list of unvaulted and returning weapons this season:
- Red-Eyed Assault Rifle
- Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle
- Submachine Gun
- Tactical Pistol
- Heavy Sniper Rifle
- Chug Cannon
- Heisted Breacher Shotgun
- Heisted Accelerant Shotgun
- Heisted Run N’ Gun SMG
- Shadow Tracker
- Havoc Pump Shotgun
- Maven Auto Shotgun
- Drum Shotgun (Unvaulted)
- Combat SMG (Unvaulted)
Ranked Mode Updates: Rank Reset & Queue Times
With Ranked Season Zero continuing until the end of this season, Fortnite has rolled out a few important patches to address player feedback. Firstly, player ranks will be reset during patch v25.10. This won’t affect Ranked Urgent Quest completion, and simply acts as a test leading up to the rank reset during Chapter 4 Season 4 Ranked.
Secondly, Fortnite has announced that they are actively fixing issues related to player queue times. Currently, they have loosened matchmaking parameters to ensure players are getting into more games, but this resulted in players getting into matches with other players too high or below their own skill level.

I love fortnite for the reason of them switching up things each season. I’d love for the star wars stuff to stay but alas, all good things must come to an end.
