‘Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian’ Season 2 Delayed To 2027

The second season of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian has officially been delayed to 2027, a year off from its original 2026 air date. According to an official statement on the anime’s website, the decision was made in order to further improve the overall quality of the anime series.

To tide fans over until the release of the second season, the anime’s production team also announced a new initiative tentatively titled “Roshidere Project 2026”, which aims to keep fans engaged about the series during its downtime. Part of the initative includes a dedicated suggestion box where fans can give their input on the series, which may even help shape future projects.

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings In Russian adapts a light novel of the same name by writer SunSunSun. The series is a romantic comedy that follows Alya, a Russian-Japanese girl who has a crush on her classmate, Masachika Kuze. Being too embarrassed to confess her feelings directly, she makes flirtatious comments towards him in Russian instead. Unbeknownst to her, Kuze also understands Russian, and is confused as to what her true feelings are towards him.
