Warwick Joins The Fight As 2XKO Enters Early Access With Season 0

2XKO has officially entered Early Access with the launch of Season 0, bringing a wave of exciting new content, major updates, and the arrival of the accidentally leaked Warwick to the roster. To mark the occasion, Riot Games released a brand new cinematic trailer showcasing the game’s signature tag-team chaos, now live on the official 2XKO channels.

This Early Access period marks a new chapter for 2XKO. But worry not, as there will be no account resets; everything players unlock from here on out is for players to keep.

Warwick Joins The 2XKO Roster

The latest champion to join the fray is Warwick (the one everyone loves), a bloodthirsty wolf who fights using a unique resource called Bloodlust. Once his Bloodlust is full, it unlocks new special attacks and cancel options, giving players room to go crazy on their opponents.

His movelist and gameplay trailer are expected to be released soon, with a developer deep dive coming shortly after. As with all new characters, Warwick is playable in Training and Offline modes from the start, even if players haven’t unlocked him yet.

How To Unlock New Champions

2XKO will release a new champion every season. Here’s how to get them:

  • First 3 Weeks: Unlock via 1,000 KO Points, 1 Champion Token, or the Ultra Battle Pass bundle.
  • Recruitment Event: Earn them for free using Battle Pass XP.
  • After 3 Weeks: Purchase for 10,000 Credits, 1,000 KO Points, or 1 Champion Token.

New Player Experience & Closed Beta Player Rewards

Newcomers can now ease into the game with First Step Missions, a tutorial series that rewards players with Credits and Champion Tokens, which can be used to unlock a new character. Even completing the “First Fight” tutorial will reward players with a token.

Meanwhile, players from the Closed Beta will receive an exclusive “Closed Beta Boss” player title. This will show up within a week of Early Access, and can be equipped via the Collection tab under Cards and Titles.

Combo Trials, Frame Data & New Stages

2XKO now includes Combo Trials for over 250 character combos, rewarding Credits as players master each one. These can be accessed under the Learn tab. For more competitive players, a Frame Data Bar has been added to Training Mode, allowing players to perfect their timing and strings.

Stages

Stages change the background of your matches with locations inspired by the vast universe of Runeterra. Two new stages arrive with Season 0:

  • Bandlewood Crossing: Unlock via the Collection tab.
  • Firelight Run: First reward in the paid Battle Pass, later available for purchase with Credits.

Although 2XKO is currently available on PC, Riot confirms that account progress will carry over to consoles once released. There is no release date yet for console players, but the team promises updates when ready.
