The Dragon Ball franchise will celebrate its 40th anniversary with Dragon Ball Genki Damatsuri, a one-day fan event set to take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on January 25, 2026. The event will feature guests such as Goku voice actor Masako Nozawa and “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” singer Hironobu Kageyama.
The Dragon Ball Genki Damatsuri is also expected to showcase new announcements and reveals for the franchise. In particular, a new game project will be announced during the event’s “Genkida Stage+: New Game Super Announcement Stage!” segment, which runs from 11AM to 11.30AM (JST).
Other highlights include showcases for Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, Dragon Ball Legends, Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra, and Dragon Ball Card Game: Fusion World, as well as the currently in-development Dragon Ball: Super Divers.
The event is free-to-enter, but tickets will only be made available by lottery. Fans canm apply for tickets from now until November 3, with a second round of applications opening from November 7 to 30.
