We are three days away until the premiere of Sugimoto Moe’s new manga, Gaku Shoku Girl / School Cafeteria Girl, on June 26.
This comes four years after Sugimoto-san’s previous work Cells NOT At Work!, which is itself a spinoff of Cells At Work! by Shimizu Akane, ended in 2021. News of her new manga was revealed in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius, July Issue. Which is neat as Cells NOT At Work! was launched by Kodansha on a July as well, 2017 to be exact.
Sugimoto-san’s new manga stars main character Kisaragi Memei, a high school gourmand with a penchant for adding quirky changes to her school lunches that gives it, AND the lives of the people around her, a whole new experience. For better or for worse, and how? I guess we’re gonna have to wait and see once the manga debuts.
