If films have the Oscars, and music has the Grammys, then the Internet has the Webbys. Last week, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) honoured the best works on the Internet across eight different fields: Websites and Mobile Sites; Video & Film; Advertising, Media & PR; Apps & Software; Social; Podcasts; AI, Immersive & Games; and Creators.
Unlike most other awards shows, two winners can take home the prize in each category, with one decided by IADAS, and the other by audience vote, though exceptional nominees also have the chance to win both.
As the full list features more than a hundred different winners across its eight diverse fields, we’ll only be highlighting gaming-focused achievements here. A complete list of winners and nominees is available on the official Webbys site.
