Malaysian indie studio Cerebral Games has just released the first escape room in their upcoming omnibus, Cerebral Escape Series: Volume 1, for free on Steam. The trilogy is a series of first-person horror escape rooms that blend puzzle-solving with bone-chilling scenarios ranging from science fiction to the occult.
The first escape room in the series, Splinters, has the player waking up in a strange office with no memories of who you are, and plagued by mysterious visions. As you retrace your steps to escape, you begin to realise you might not be as alone as you once thought…
The full release comes with two more escape rooms, each with their own set of thrilling puzzles and terrifying scenarios. In Pagan, you are kidnapped by a demon-worshipping cult and confined within an abandoned temple for their ritual. But when their summoning goes out of control, you find yourself trapped alongside the malevolent demon.
Anachron is set in the far future of 2080, where humans have achieved space exploration and colonization. After an incident occurs on your space station, you have to survive and solve puzzles in order to find your way to the escape pods.
