Fans of the survival-adventure game ARK: Survival Ascended were treated to an exciting glimpse into the future at the Game Developers Conference 2025. Studio Wildcard unveiled a new trailer for their first original expansion pack, ARK: Lost Colony, featuring the voice talents of Academy Award-winning Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh.
The two-minute anime-style trailer was crafted by Japanese animation studio MAPPA, known for their work on popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan. Players will be plunged into a frozen world, following the journey of the legendary ARK survivor Mei Yin, voiced by Michelle Yeoh, who reprises her role from the upcoming ARK: The Animated Series.
The expansion is set to directly connect the storylines of previous ARK expansions, Extinction and Genesis, ultimately leading into the events of the highly anticipated ARK 2. Alongside Michelle Yeoh, the voice cast for ARK: Lost Colony includes Madeleine Madden (Wheel of Time) as Helena Walker and Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) as Meeka, with more fan-favorite characters set to be revealed and voiced in-game for the first time.
Pre-orders for ARK: Lost Colony will open in June 2025, with pre-orders earning you immediate access to exclusive preview gameplay content. A full release is slated for November 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
