Here’s Where To Watch The 2025 Pokémon Day Livestream

Pokémon Day is happening on February 28th 2025, commemorating the 29th anniversary of the Pokémon series. In conjunction with Pokémon Day, there will be a Pokémon Presents livestream held on February 27, 2025, at 10PM (MYT) on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, where fans can tune in for some of the long awaited news about Pokémon.

However, if you’re a Pokémon TCG Live player, then you’ll want to watch on Twitch instead as the stream will be giving out special illustration rare Eevee ex cards from the Prismatic Evolutions set. Just be sure to link your Pokémon Trainer Club account to your Twitch account, and have drops enabled on Twitch to be eligible.

Below are just some of my predictions for what we’ll see on the stream:

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

We already got a sneak peek at the next game to come, titled as Pokémon Legends: Z-A. There is a very high chance that this Pokémon Presents will feature more information about Legends: Z-A, as well as more news about it, such as a confirmation of a release window.

Generation 5 remake

The last Pokémon remake, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, was released a little more than 4 years ago, meaning it’s high time a new remake was announced. The rumored release of a Generation 5-focused TCG this year would also coincide perfectly with a remake announcement.

This would also be a perfect project for Pokémon to focus on before inevitably introducing Generation 10 in the near future.

Generation 10 teaser

I do not expect a full-on announcement of Generation 10, but I expect a small little sneak peek, with the actual announcement and release to be set next year, the 30th anniversary of Pokémon.

This year is the year of the Eevee, and I am expecting there to be more than just merchandise and a TCG focused set to contribute to the theme. I predict that this will be the year that a new Eeveelution will be announced, alongside Legends Z-A and truly commemorating the year of the Eevee.

There’s also the fact that the last new Eeveelution, Sylveon, was released over 10 years ago in Pokémon X and Y, to celebrate the game’s newly released Fairy typing. Perhaps we will be getting a flying-type Eevee, with the previous Flying Tera Eevee distribution being a subtle hint of this new Eeveelution coming our way.

What are your predictions for the Pokémon Presents livestream? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to tune in tonight!
