Hosted by the National Art Gallery, the tenth cohort of the Young Art Entrepreneurs (YAE!) programme is hosting their final showcase from December 14th to 22nd, 2024 at GMBB, Kuala Lumpur.
With the theme “Generation: Artpreneur!”, it highlights a new generation of creative and innovative individuals merging art and entrepreneurship. It is also a celebration of fresh, dynamic ideas driving the creative economy forward.
The final showcase is a culmination of a 4-month programme with the National Art Gallery aimed at equipping young artists with the knowledge and skills to succeed in business. The goal is to ensure that entrepreneurs will be able to produce artworks with adequate knowledge for commercialisation.
A total of 17 participants from diverse backgrounds were showcased at the event including paper engineer Matt Made Studios, 3D plaster and textured artist Le.piecce, and fantasy comic artist Ajimation Studio among others.
Gembur Education and a few other artists from the cohort are also organising Galaxy of Imagination: A Neurodivergent Art Journey, an upcoming mental health awareness event happening at the National Art Gallery & Art Depot from December 27th to 29th.
The event aims to celebrate the vibrant lives of neurodivergent children with a mini carnival dedicated to self-expression through art. There will also be an art bazaar, community chitchat, and sensory fun spaces. Visit gembur.com for more information.
