CAPCOM had plenty of exciting announcements in store at The Game Awards 2024, but nothing could top the announcement of the Okami sequel. Directed once again by Hideki Kamiya, who brought the original Okami (2006) to life, this new project promises to continue the legendary journey of Amaterasu and her companions.
The sequel project is also being co-developed between studios that include various staff members of the original Okami. This includes M-TWO Inc, Machine Head Works Inc, and CLOVERS Inc. – which Hideki Kamiya is a member of.
To celebrate the annoucement, director Hideki Kamiya also shared a special message for everyone:
To commemorate the announcement of the new Okami sequel project, the Okami HD and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess set, titled the Okami + Kunitsu-Gami Bundle, is also available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
