‘Kiss Him, Not Me’ Manga Author Junko Launches New Manga Series

Junko, the author behind popular shoujo series ‘Kiss Him, Not Me’, has announced her next manga series. ‘Shirayuki Yume to n-Nin no Yume Kareshi’, or ‘Yume Shirayuki and the ## Dream Boyfriends’, will launch in the next issue of Akita Publishing’s Monthly Princess magazine on October 4th, 2024.

Shirayuki Yume to n-Nin no Yume Kareshi follows Yume, a young girl who once indulged in imaginary romances with the dream boyfriends she conjured in her notebook. She grew out of her imaginary romance as she became an ordinary member of society, until something unbelievable happened one day.

Her previous work, ‘Kiss Him, Not Me’ followed the story of Kae Serinuma, a fujoshi who loves reading and imagining men in romantic relationships. When one of her favourite characters is killed off, the shock causes her to lose a lot of weight; resulting in her transformation into a beautiful girl who catches the eye of four boys at her school.

‘Kiss Him, Not Me’ ran from April 2013 to February 2018 with a total of 14 published volumes. The series was later adapted into a 12-episode television anime that aired from October to December 2016.
