Aniplex has revealed Homura Akemi as the third character in their new game, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra, joining Madoka Kaname and Iroha Tamaki in the game’s cast.
Scheduled to release in 2024, the game is based on the classic television anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, created by Magica Quartet and animated by Shaft. The story follows Madoka Kaname, a middle school girl who is offered a wish in exchange for a commitment to battling witches, a group of magical beings whose souls have been tainted by darkness.
In the game, you play as “Name”, a girl who gets lost in the Lighthouse Theater. Though she recalls once being a Magical Girl, she now finds herself stripped of her name, her memories, and even her visage. And so, she begins a search to find her own light of remembrance.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra recently launched pre-registrations on Google Play and wishlist the game on Steam, with Apple App Store pre-registrations coming soon.
