Aniplex has launched pre-registrations for their all-new mobile game, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra, scheduled to release in 2024. Fans can pre-register their interest on Google Play and wishlist the game on Steam, with Apple App Store pre-registrations coming soon.
The game is based on the classic television anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, created by Magica Quartet and animated by Shaft. The story follows Madoka Kaname, a middle school girl who is offered a wish in exchange for a commitment to battling witches, a group of magical beings whose souls have been tainted by darkness.
In the game, you play as “Name”, a girl who gets lost in the Lighthouse Theater. Though she recalls once being a Magical Girl, she now finds herself stripped of her name, her memories, and even her visage. And so, she begins a search to find her own light of remembrance.
The game also features familiar characters such as Madoka Kaname and Iroha Tamaki, as seen in the game’s promotional film and character promotional videos animated by Shaft.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra is being developed by Pokelabo (Assault Lily: Last Bullet, SINoALICE) and f4samurai (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories, Ange Vierge -Re:Link-), and distributed by Aniplex.
