Nintendo surprised fans with a special Pikmin Direct on November 1, now officially dubbed “Pikmin Day” by the company. While no new Pikmin games were shown during the Direct, fans still got a first look at some new Pikmin-related announcements coming to various channels.
Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy

Pikmin 4: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy will launch on November 12, with an official demo out now on the Nintendo eShop. The demo will feature the game’s entire opening area, as well as two stages of the game’s new Dandori Academy mode.
Players will also be able to transfer their demo save data to the full game if they choose to purchase it later on. Those who own Pikmin 4 on the original Nintendo Switch can also purchase an upgrade pack for the game on the Nintendo eShop.
Pikmin Bloom
A new area known as Secret Caves will be added to Pikmin Bloom. Players will be able to send their Pikmin into these underground caves, where they’ll discover and battle a wide variety of creatures. By winning battles, players will be able to earn treasures, which will be recorded in a new Treasure Catalogue.
In conjunction with the launch of Pikmin 4: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, players will also be able to earn special rewards in Pikmin Bloom by playing the demo or the full game. These include a Cave Map, special postcards, and a Pikmin 4 Oatchi-Rider Costume for your Mii.
Hello! Pikmin
Finally, fans got their first look at Hello! Pikmin, a series of shorts coming to the Nintendo Today app and the official Nintendo YouTube channel. The first two episodes of Hello! Pikmin are available to watch now, with more to be released regularly.
