The viral and critically acclaimed Normal Golf Game, a new golf simulation and narrative adventure from Luke Muscat, creator of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, will launch on PC on September 21, 2026.
Following the release of its demo last month, the game quickly attracted attention from players and media, with the demo currently holding a 98% positive review rate.

Normal Golf Game presents itself as a relaxing tribute to the sport of golf — although its story takes a decidedly unusual turn.
Players awaken on a gigantic golf course, trapped, disoriented and burdened with $100,000 in debt to a mysterious game designer named Luke Muscat. With golf apparently responsible for getting them into the situation, players must figure out whether the sport can also provide their way out.
The game combines golf gameplay with a narrative-driven adventure, taking players through a strange scenario that is anything but normal despite its deliberately understated premise.
From Viral Demo to Full Release
The game’s demo has generated significant attention online, with coverage and praise from outlets and creators including The Guardian, PC Gamer, Kotaku, Drae and Northernlion. Northernlion described it as a potential “game of the year contender,” while The Guardian praised its portrayal of the sport as being “just like real golf.”
