The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline Launches this September 10 on PC, PS5 and XBOX

Spanish independent publisher Entalto Publishing and Italian independent developer ONE O ONE GAMES announced that The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline, a first-person psychological mystery thriller and story-driven adventure, will launch on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG), PS5 and Xbox Series S/X this September 10. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will also be released later in the year.

Every 33 years, the barrier between our reality and Hell fades. To protect his family and the world he knows, Gabriele Alighieri must perform The Ritual, returning to his ancestral home and accept a destiny he has spent his life running from. Players will be immersed into a tense atmosphere and explore the unknown in this dark, modern interpretation of the Divine Comedy, where the Inferno is a shadow waiting to consume you.

“We decided what kind of terror we wanted to portray: not the fear of dying, but the fear of being seen. Because sometimes the most terrifying thing is someone or something that understands you completely,” shared Gaia Righelli, Game Director for The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline.

Gameplay Features

  • The Quest for the Infernal Seal: Gather the lost, magical pages of the Divine Comedy and reunite them to perform the ritual that keeps the gates of Hell sealed.
  • Esoteric Puzzle Solving: Decipher esoteric riddles and navigate a harrowing psychological journey that forces you to confront Gabriele’s deepest fears and trauma.
  • Unearth a Fragmented Truth: Scour the environment to find hidden collectibles and diary pages. Piece together the tragic history of the Alighieri bloodline and the forgotten memories of Gabriele’s life to understand the true cost of the Ritual.

The Ritual requires you to navigate two converging realities:
    • The Villa: Explore the silent, melancholic halls of the Italian manor.
    • The Dive: Cross the threshold into a distorted reflection of the infernal depths.

“When most people think of Dante or Dante’s Inferno, they imagine something very concrete: monsters, demons, action.” commented Emanuele Miccianza, the game’s Creative Director. “But when I read the Divine Comedy, I didn’t see an action story; I saw a person going through an inner journey. That became our central idea: Hell is internal.”
