The Promised Neverland is returning with a brand-new bonus one-shot chapter as part of the manga’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The combined 37th and 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump revealed that the new chapter, titled “War vs. Peace,” will be published in the magazine’s next issue on August 24.
The special one-shot will contain 36 pages and take place after the events of the manga’s main story, giving readers another glimpse into the world created by writer Kaiu Shirai and illustrator Posuka Demizu.
10th Anniversary Celebrations
The new chapter is one of several projects planned by Shueisha to commemorate 10 years of The Promised Neverland. The anniversary celebrations also include a stage musical adaptation scheduled to run in Tokyo this winter, as well as a full-color digital edition of the manga.
Other commemorative activities include pop-up stores held across several Japanese cities and an online lottery event featuring merchandise based on the series.
