PUBG Mobile Version 4.5 Update Launches With Naruto Shippuden Collaboration

PUBG Mobile has officially released its Version 4.5 Update, introducing one of the game’s biggest content expansions to date. Running from July 9 to September 7, 2026, the update features a major collaboration with the ever-popular anime series Naruto Shippuden.

Headlining the update is Naruto: Ninjas Assemble, a themed gameplay mode that brings iconic characters, locations, abilities and story elements from the anime franchise into PUBG Mobile across Erangel, Livik and Sanhok.

Hidden Leaf Village Comes to PUBG Mobile

The Version 4.5 update introduces a fully recreated Hidden Leaf Village, allowing players to explore some of the anime’s most recognizable locations, including Hokage Rock, Naruto’s Apartment, Hokage’s Residence, Ichiraku Ramen Shop, and The Aviary.

Players can also visit several famous locations from the Naruto storyline, such as the Ninja Academy, Hidden Leaf Hospital, Chunin Exam Finals Arena, Naka Shrine Secret Room, Naruto’s Inner Mind, Valley of the End, and Great Naruto Bridge. These themed environments recreate memorable scenes from the series while serving as playable battlegrounds.

Kurama Battles and Rogue Ninja Encounters

The update adds new AI enemies in the form of Rogue Ninjas, featuring both melee and ranged combat variants that appear throughout matches, including around airdrops and supply vehicles.

Beginning July 9, players can also encounter Kurama, who appears across the map in three behavioral states: Slumbering, Prowling, and Alert. From July 17, players can trigger a special cooperative match where Kurama launches an attack on the Hidden Leaf Village. All squads must work together to defend the village during the event.

Signature Ninjutsu Abilities Join Combat

Version 4.5 introduces several iconic Naruto Shippuden abilities, weapons and themed items. Abilities unlock gradually between July 9 and July 14, including:

  • Flying Raijin Jutsu
  • Rasengan
  • Chidori
  • Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu
  • Earth Style: Mud Wall
  • Shadow Clone Jutsu
  • Reanimation Jutsu
  • Ninja Run traversal

These abilities allow players to teleport, launch powerful attacks, create decoys, defend teammates and recall fallen allies. Additional themed consumables such as Ichiraku Ramen and Make-out Paradise also appear throughout the mode.

Voice-Activated Ninjutsu Debuts

From July 14, players inside the Chunin Exam Finals Arena can activate certain ninjutsu by speaking the technique’s name through supported voice commands during timed Ninjutsu Duels.

The update also features Kakashi, who teaches players the enhanced Earth Style: Mud Wall (Dog Head Version). However, multiple Kakashi characters may appear simultaneously, with only one being the real instructor while the others are revealed as Shadow Clones.

Iconic Naruto Moments Recreated

Beyond combat, players can relive scenes from the anime through interactive experiences including Valley of the End duels, multiplayer photo opportunities, a Naruto-themed aircraft cabin sequence, Ninja Team Ready animations, and Team 7-inspired Strongest Team celebrations.

Beginning July 12, players also can unlock a wide range of cosmetics inspired by Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Hinata, Gaara, Tsunade, Madara and Jiraiya. Each character set includes an exclusive emote, while additional collaboration items feature official voice packs, themed gear, vehicle skins and the Kurama Buddy companion pet.

PUBG Mobile Announces Biggest Giveaway Yet

PUBG Mobile has also launched its largest in-game giveaway to date, with players able to unlock more than US$600 worth of rewards through event participation. Exciting prizes up for grabs include a Young Naruto Character Set, 4th Hokage Cloak Set, Naruto-themed lobby background, and many more.
