The Asia Pacific University Great Game Week (APUGGW) returns this 7–9 July 2026! Organised by the APU Gamedev, Esports, and Board Game Clubs, APUGGW brings together students, industry professionals, and games enthusiasts for three exciting days packed with learning, networking, and fun.
Throughout the event, visitors can explore an Industry Showcase, discover innovative projects at the FYP Student Showcase, attend Industry Talks, participate in Portfolio Reviews, and even stand a chance to win awesome prizes.
Game Workshops
The excitement kicks off on 8 July with two hands-on workshops hosted at the APU Atrium, Level 3. From 10:30 AM to 4PM, learn the fundamentals of tabletop gaming at the TCG Workshop, powered by Quantum Nexus Kuala Lumpur and GGW. Click here to register for the workshop.
Visitors can also unleash their creativity at the Warhammer Paint & Play Workshop, a beginner-friendly session perfect for anyone interested in miniature painting and wargames. Registration is available here.
Industry Talks & Portfolio Reviews
Industry talks will also be a major highlight at the event. From 1PM to 5.30PM on 9 July, industry professionals will be present at Auditorium 4 to share their valuable insights on topics such as game development, career opportunities, and the future of interactive entertainment. Those interested can register for the talks here.
Students looking to kickstart their careers should not miss the Portfolio Reviews, also taking place on 9 July 2026, from 12PM to 4PM at APU B 05 01. Visitors will be able receive personalised feedback from experienced professionals, with six review tracks to choose from:

- Metronomik – Project Management
- Omens Studio – Programming
- Bad Moon Art Studio – Concept Art & Illustration
- Streamline Studios – 2D Art
