Indie Jam Sessions July Edition Discuss Building a Career That Last as an Artist

This July 11th, the latest edition of Indie Jam Sessions covers the topic of creating a lasting career as an artist in Malaysia. Indie Jam Sessions is a monthly game development workshop and playtesting series presented by THE MAGIC RAIN and Make With Friends.

This month’s workshop will be presented by Siew Hong, founder of Digital Blacksmith School, an online learning platform for all things game industry, focusing on skills and portfolio development. As a Lead Concept Artist with 11 years of experience, he understands that artistic skill alone is no longer enough to guarantee long-term success.

In his talk, “Beyond Drawing: Building A Career That Lasts”, Siew Hong will explore the three ways artists can build a more resilient career in Malaysia. Whether you’re a student, freelancer, or studio artist, you’ll learn how to create opportunities that extend beyond your portfolio and position yourself for the future.

Not only that, Siew Hong will be sharing more about Digital Blacksmith Workshop, the only concept art event in Southeast Asia happening this August 1st at Xsolla Curine Academy. For more information about Digital Blacksmith Workshop, follow them on Instagram.
