During the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, it was revealed that Orbitals, the upcoming retro anime-inspired 2-player co-operative adventure developed by Tokyo-based game developer Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive, will release on 3rd September, 2026. The game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
Pre-orders for the game are now available, with players having their choice of both a standard edition of the game, or a premium deluxe edition with additional, exclusive DLC bonuses. These include:
- Orbitals base game
- A digital artbook packed with original retro anime-inspired concept art and illustrations
- The Orbitals original digital soundtrack
- Two exclusive character costumes (one for Maki and one for Omura)
- Two unique ship skins to customize your journey beyond the Storm Wall
Fans can also look forward to localized VO in Orbitals for English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, LatAm Spanish, German, and Brazilian Portuguese upon release later this year. More information about the game’s international voice cast will be announced at a later date.
Orbitals will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on 3rd September and is now available to pre-order .
