Rumours have told of a new DLC for The Witcher 3, and lo, for they were true! Earlier today, CD Projekt Red revealed that the next DLC for The Witcher 3 is releasing sometime in 2027 for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X!
The DLC is co-developed with Fool’s Theory, whose work include Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Thaumaturge. They are also working on the upcoming The Witcher Remake!
This expansion will come a decade after the last The Witcher 3 DLC “Blood and Wine” (2016) was released, itself succeeding the “Hearts of Stone” DLC (2015). Little has been revealed, but we can guarantee we’ll be playing as Geralt again for new adventures!
From the DLCs name, we’re guessing it’s a prequel, or feature something heavily associated with Geralt’s past. With The Witcher 4 coming, we might even be setting up its story. Regardless, it’s going to be a blast to return as Geralt once more!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt follows you as Geralt as you search for your adoptive daughter Ciri. Throughout the game, you travel fantastical lands, do quests, and most importantly, play Gwent. It is the third instalment in The Witcher series, and has gone on to win multiple awards including Game Of The Year 2015!
Stay tuned when more info releases!
