Play ‘Path of Exile 2: Return of the Ancients’ For Free This 29 May – 1 June

Path of Exile 2’s latest content expansion, Return of the Ancients, will be made available for free from 29 May to 1 June. Dubbed the Free Weekend, players will be able to try out the new challenge league, Runes of Aldur, explore major endgame updates, earn limited-time cosmetics, and more.

Return of the Ancients introduces the Runes of Aldur league, where players can complete eight challenges in-game to earn a piece of the Knight of Aldur Armor Set, along with a totem decoration for their Hideout. These microtransactions are purely cosmetic and will not affect players’ character’s power in any way.

The expansion also introduces a reshaped endgame experience, powerful new Uniques, expanded crafting systems, and a completely reimagined Atlas Tree. Players can forge new paths with two new Ascendancy classes – the Martial Artist and Spirit Walker – and experience improved campaign replayability, a new Build Planner, and numerous quality-of-life features.

If you like what you see during the Free Weekend, players are encouraged to take advantage of a limited-time promotion running from 29 May to 12 June, where the Early Access Supporter Pack for Path of Exile 2 will be available at 50% off. The purchase includes full access to the game and 150 points to spend in the in-game store.
