GSC International Screens will be screening Human Resource (Thai: Phanakngan Mai) from April 23 onwards. The film is the latest thought-provoking drama from award-winning Thai filmmaker Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit, known for his internationally celebrated works including Fast & Feel Love, Happy Old Year, and Die Tomorrow.
Set in the often absurd yet deeply human world of modern office life, Human Resource follows Fren (Prapamonton Eiamchan), a dedicated HR professional navigating the challenges of a demanding corporate environment, while also facing the unexpected realities of pregnancy. The film has earned critical acclaim across Asia and beyond, including the Fondazione Fai Prize at the Venice International Film Festival (2025) and the FIPRESCI Award (2025) at the 36th Singapore International Film Festival for the Asian Feature Film Competition.
Director Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit and Mental Health Inclusion, Awareness, Support and Advocacy Association Malaysia founder Puan Anita Abu Bakar will also headline a special talkback session on 25 April 2026, 2PM at GSC Mid Valley Megamall. The session will delve into the film’s core themes, offering a deeper exploration of its reflections on modern life, mental health, and the shifting realities of family and society. This special screening discussion aims to cultivate thoughtful dialogue around lived experiences and the broader emotional and social questions raised by the film.
From April 23 onwards, Human Resource will be screening at selected GSC locations:
- GSC Mid Valley
- GSC 1 Utama
- GSC MyTown
- GSC Gurney Plaza
