Wait, that’s not Cammy from Street Fighter. Sporting a green top, long braids, and a red beret is Overwatch’s 51st hero! The character art reveal for Hero 51 came out about 9 hours ago through the official Overwatch social medias platforms.
While we can’t guess what their actual name might be, we can certainly assume what role they’ll be placed in. Hero 51 appears to be accompanied by a pink bird-like drone, and is equipped with a rifle or possibly a sniper, likely making them a damage character.
Based on their design and vibes, my bet is they’re gonna be an Overwatch agent. If not, their design certainly screams good guy. Although, other’s have speculated that it’s Frankie, a member of Ashe’s Deadlock Gang. Who knows? Only time will tell, or well… Blizzard.
Since Overwatch’s big rebrand, Hero 51 is the sixth hero to make their debut, with four more yet to come. The previous 5 were Anran, Domina, Emre, Jetpack Cat, and Mizuki, bringing us one tank, two damage, and two support.
I know it’s April 1st and it could likely be an April Fools’ post, but I really hope it’s not. We’ll only certainly be sure of their affiliations, kit, trailer, and more by next week, so stay tuned!
