Independent publisher Fellow Traveller recently announced the Story-Rich Showcase, a brand-new showcase dedicated entirely to story-rich indie games. Designed as a focused alternative to broader showcases, the Story-Rich Showcase aims to give narrative-driven titles “the time, care, and visibility they so often miss during one of the busiest moments in the games calendar”.
The Story-Rich Showcase will feature a lineup of narrative games alongside developer-led segments that highlight the people behind the work, their ideas, processes, and creative journeys. Fans can expect exclusive announcements, first looks, new trailers, release dates, updates, and a few surprises, all tailored for audiences who care deeply about storytelling in games.
Most importantly, the Story-Rich Showcase is free for participating developers, offering a high-quality platform within the Summer Game Fest period for all developers regardless of their budget. Developer submissions for the Story-Rich Showcase open today, and will close at 10AM Pacific on February 28th, 2026.
As part of this expansion, Fellow Traveller’s existing games showcase LudoNarraCon will be moving from its usual May timing, instead taking place from October 8th to October 12th. This shift aims to allow both events to shine in their own way, with the Story-Rich Showcase delivering a focused, announcement-driven moment during the Summer Game Fest period, and LudoNarraCon continuing its tradition as a celebration of narrative games with demos, discounts and more.
Further details on the Story-Rich Showcase, including participating developers and the final showcase date, will be shared closer to the event. To stay up to date, follow Fellow Traveller on Bluesky, TikTok, Instagram, and Threads.
