Marvel Rivals just dropped its January 22 update, and while it’s a relatively small patch (especially on console), it comes packed with style, celebration, and quality-of-life improvements. Headlining the update is Times Square – Disco Night, a brand-new underground experience created to celebrate the 8th anniversary of Luna Snow’s debut in Marvel media.
The update is live now, with the Disco Night event officially opening on January 23, 2026 at 02:00 UTC.
Times Square – Disco Night
A hidden underground area called the Disco Ballroom has opened beneath Times Square, transforming the space into a cosmic dance floor where heroes from across the Chronoverse can let loose. Neon lights, pulsing music, and a full disco aesthetic make this one of the most playful social areas added to Marvel Rivals so far.

Unique Hero Interactions
Two heroes get exclusive animations inside the Disco Ballroom:
- Star-Lord – Step onto the dance floor and press T to trigger a unique dance animation.
- Luna Snow – Head to the DJ booth and press T to start spinning tracks with her own exclusive emote.
Players are still discovering whether other heroes have hidden interactions, so this might not be the last surprise the disco has to offer.

Final Thoughts
This patch is a perfect example of Marvel Rivals leaning into personality and polish rather than raw balance changes. Disco Night adds charm, Luna Snow gets the spotlight she deserves, and the QoL improvements quietly make the game smoother across the board.
