The 2010’s called, they want their endless runner turned TikTok brainrot back. Developers SYBO recently announced an official to their 2012 viral mobile sensation Subway Surfers, and it’s coming to iOS and Android on February 26th, 2026.
Subway Surfers City will feature an upgraded art style, dozens of new characters, and new gameplay mechanics and modes. The teased gameplay modes include City Tour mode, which allows players to tackle specific objectives in a single district; Classic Endless Mode, where the speed ramps up as you skate across town; and Events, a rotation of finite runs and trials designed to challenge players.
Players can expect the return of the original cast, including Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani, while dozens of new and unique characters are slated to make their debut in the sequel. Per its predecessor, Subway Surfers City will also introduce new content on a seasonal basis, including new maps, characters, outfits, and hoverboards .
Since the original game’s initial release in 14 years ago, Subway Surfers has been downloaded 4.5 billion times with over 30 million engaged followers across its social media accounts. Subway Surfers City is now open for preregistrations on iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
