‘Tis the season to be jolly, and Marvel Rivals is bringing that jolliness with the Gone Nutty For Gifts Event, where players will be able to earn Christmas-themed goodies to celebrate the festive season. The event dropped on 18th December, 2025 and will last till 16th January, 2026.
Like with past events, Rivals simply need to participate in matches and complete missions to earn EXP, which will then earn you Acorns. Yep, you heard me. Acorns, like the nut.
Similar to Jeff’s Break Time Event, players can earn gold and brown Acorns, which you’ll use to open cookies (or presents if you’ve purchased the premium pass) hanging on the Christmas Tree. Additionally, purchasing the premium pass automatically earns you 2 golden Acorns.
The main attraction for the event are the Squirrel Girl and Winter Soldier skins; however, they’re for premium pass owners only. Free-to-Play Rivals will be able to earn the Black & Gold Magneto skin.
Once all rewards are obtained, you can then unlock the “Holiday Helper” nameplate. The event is fairly straightforward, with the only RNG aspect being how soon you get your skins, because if you play enough, you’ll eventually get them all.
