Hate him or hate him, the Swift Scout is here to stay. Riot Games has announced that Teemo will officially join the 2XKO roster when the game enters early access on October 7, coinciding with the start of Season 0.
For veteran League of Legends players, Teemo needs no introduction. The mischievous yordle is infamous on the Rift for his toxic darts, sneaky camouflage, and of course, his deadly mushrooms that turn the map into a game of minesweeper. In 2XKO, he’s bringing all that chaos into the fighting arena, with a playstyle that’s all about zoning, traps, and driving opponents up the wall.
One of the coolest twists to his design is the merit badge system, which builds on his Bandle Scout persona. By using certain moves repeatedly during a match, Teemo earns badges that upgrade his abilities. From igniting shots with a slingshot badge to poison-boosted darts, his kit looks both versatile and delightfully annoying. Seasoned LoL players will also recognize his classic LoL skills like Blinding Dart, Toxic Shot, and Noxious Trap, all remixed for fighting game flair.
2XKO’s early access launch is shaping up to be a big one. The game will be free-to-play on PC with no access codes required, and Season 0 will introduce a Battle Pass, cosmetics, progression system, and Combo Trials mode for practicing character combos. Best of all, any progress made during this stage will carry over to the full launch.
Teemo may be the final addition to the launch roster, but Riot promises more champions in the pipeline. Until then, players can look forward to testing their patience (and their opponents’) when Season 0 begins next week, because the Swift Scout is ready to make 2XKO as tilting as LoL.
