Lofi Girl, YouTube’s iconic 24/7 chill beats livestream, will soon be welcoming Mooncube Games into its creative universe. Mooncube Game is best known as the indie studio behind Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, a cozy productivity game with equally relaxing vibes.
The collaboration will officially begin on August 25th, bringing a curated selection of Lofi Girl tracks to the game for the very first time. It will also mark the beginning of Lofi Girl’s new Lofi Gaming division, which aims to “explore new ways of bringing calm, creativity, and community into gaming experiences”.
In a statement shared to Spirit City: Lofi Sessions’ Steam page, Mooncube Games stressed that the ‘spirit’ of the game would remain the same, with no changes to the game’s existing team or creative vision. In their words: “Spirit City was built around calm, creativity, and kindness, and those values are here to stay. This new chapter just gives us more space and support to do what we love.”
Mooncube Games’ next update for Spirit City: Lofi Sessions will add music from the Lofi Girl channel into the game, as well as a new All Aboard expansion. Read more about the expansion here.
