The Pokémon Company International earlier this week that it will be collaborating with stop-motion animation studio Aardman for a special project in 2027. First established in 1972, Aardman Animations Limited is best known for producing Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, and Shaun the Sheep.

The latest stop-motion animated project for Pokémon was their limited Netflix series Pokémon Concierge, which debuted with four episodes in December 2023. The stop-motion animation was produced by Dwarf Studios who also worked on the Netflix series Rilakkuma and Kaoru.
