Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Launches For Mobile On October 30

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, the new mobile Pokémon TCG, officially launches for iOS and Android on October 30th, 2024.

First announced during the 2024 Pokémon Presents livestream, the app is being developed by The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Masters EX creators DeNA, and Pokémon Trading Card Game creators Creatures Inc.

The new trailer showcases more footage of the app in action, including a virtual card collecting system that allows you to trade cards and battle with friends. The app will also allow users to open two free digital booster packs every day.

Users will be able to collect digital cards based on existing real-life cards in the Pokémon TCG, as well as new cards exclusive to the app. Players can add new cards by scanning code cards, purchasing in-game booster packs, trading with friends, and completing daily quests in-game. The trailer also spotlights special “immersive cards” that give users a closer look at the world within the card’s artwork.

For players who prefer gameplay over collecting, players will also be able to build decks and play against other players around the world. There will be card battles that feature streamlined rules, although further mechanics have yet to be revealed.
