In celebration of World Pokémon Day on February 27, Nintendo hosted a Pokémon Presents livestream to showcase what the franchise has in store for 2024. This year’s livestream came with announcements for Pokémon GO, Pokémon Unite, and even a few new titles.

Limited-Time Tera Raid Battle Events In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players will get the chance to catch a mighty Venusaur, Blastoise, or Charizard in the Tera Raid Battle Events happening in-game from now until March 17th. Players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to join the raids, and they will only be able to catch one of each mighty Pokémon per save data.
Pokémon GO x Pokémon Horizons: The Series Collaboration Event
To celebrate the premiere of Pokémon Horizons: The Series on March 7th, there will be a special collaboration event on Pokémon GO. Ceruledge, Charcadet, and Armarouge will be making their debut appearance in the game, alongside Pikachu wearing Cap’s Hat featuring a special new attack, Volt Tackle.
Raikou, Entei & Suicune Arrive In Pokémon Sleep
To our fellow sleepers out there, Raikou will be joining Pokémon Sleep in March 2024 with Entei and Suicune arriving soon after. If players login from now until April 30th, they can also get 10 Poké Biscuits and 1,000 Diamonds for free as a Pokémon Day gift.
Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Café Remix & Pokémon Unite Celebrate Pokémon Day
For Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Café Remix and Pokémon Unite players, make sure to login to the game in the coming weeks for anniversary updates. From new character and Pokémon appearances, to free goodies to celebrate Pokémon Day, you won’t want to miss your chance to login.
A New Mobile TCG, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Arrives In 2024
In the first of two major announcements, Pokémon announced a new mobile TCG developed by The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Masters EX creators DeNA, and Pokémon Trading Card Game creators Creatures Inc. The trailer highlights a virtual card collecting system that allows you to trade cards and battle with friends. The game is slated to release in 2024.
A Brand New Legends Game, Pokémon Legends Z-A Arrives 2025
The biggest announcement of Pokémon Presents was the teaser trailer for the next Legends game, Pokémon Legends Z-A. The trailer also teases the location of the new game, which takes place in Luminois City in the Kalos region. The game arrives on Nintendo Switch systems in 2025.
