How These ‘Zenless Zone Zero’ Characters Are Connected To ‘The Legend of Zelda’

Zenless Zone Zero recently dropped its first major update, introducing new agents, new agent stories, in-game events, and plenty of quality of life upgrades. Most importantly, the Version 1.1 update introduced the rest of the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team faction and their release dates.

Joining their team leader Zhu Yuan is the combat android Qingyi, defense agent Seth Lowell, and everyone’s new favourite, criminal behaviour specialist Jane Doe. Not only that, new agent stories for Qingyi and Jane Doe were released.

However, there was one new update that caught everyone by surprise. As Version 1.1 dropped, meticulous fans sought out the Japanese voices for Jane Doe and Seth Lowell, only to find out they were the same as Zelda and Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Shimamura Yu, who voices Zelda and Jane Doe, has also lent her voice to Hare Menjou from Guilty Crown, Annie Leonhart from Attack On Titan, Akiko Yosano from Bungou Stray Dogs, Blake Belladonna from RWBY, and Haruka Haruno and Cure Flora from Go! Princess PreCure.

Meanwhile, Kengo Takanashi who voices Link and Seth Lowell, has also voiced Ryusen Kazuki from The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic, Wataru Frazer from Scarlet Nexus, Kaval from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and various player voices in Monster Hunter: Rise and Jump Force.
