Get ready to join the fight of Sorcerers against Cursed Spirits, where the power of one’s spirit is pushed to the limit in neverending battle. Bursting onto the scene in Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur this August 16th, here’s everything you need to know about The Animation Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition!
Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
The manga was first published in March 2018, and by January 2024, it had 90 million copies in circulation. An anime adaptation was produced by MAPPA in October 2020 and is still ongoing today.
Besides its international popularity, Jujutsu Kaisen has seen its own craze in Malaysia; from The Jujutsu Kaisen Experience opening recently in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, to ongoing discussions between Tourism Malaysia and Jujutsu Kaisen publishers to build a memorial in Kuantan.
The Animation Jujutsu Kaisen Exhibition will focus on original artwork from MAPPA studio, as well as a look into the creative process behind the scenes. Additionally, special cinematic displays of thrilling moments from the anime will allow them to immerse themselves in the excitement of Jujutsu Kaisen’s world.
