If you’re in the Tokyo area this June, make sure to drop by Shibuya PARCO to experience a video game come to life! Chorus Worldwide, the global publishers behind indie sensation Coffee Talk, has announced an official collaboration café happening this June.
Coffee Talk is is a visual novel developed by Indonesian indie studio Toge Productions, set in an alternative-Seattle where fantasy races coexist with humans in the modern world. You play as the owner of a late-night coffee shop, where you listen to your customers’ problems and help them by serving up a warm drink or two. The franchise currently has two games with a loyal fanbase around the world including Japan.
The café will be opening at Quattro Lab located in Shibuya PARCO B1F, a music café and bar produced by the live house Club Quattro. The inside of the store will be transformed to recreate the world of Coffee Talk, including its iconic lo-fi soundtrack and unique drink menu. Some of the drinks include Gala Had, Hibiscus Tea, and STMJ.
There will also be various Coffee Talk official merchandise on sale, including trading cards, notebooks, T-shirts, acrylic standees, and more. These merchandise will also be available to order on ONLINE PARCO from June 1st, 2024 onward.
However, visitors to the café will receive a special trading card of Gala in his werewolf form that will not be available for purchase. Additionally, in-store customers can use the AR function on their phones to have their favourite characters appear on their seats for an even more immersive experience!
The Coffee Talk café opens from June 1st to June 30th, 2024; excluding every Wednesday, 14th and 28th. There are two types of tickets on sale: One for visitors who only want to purchase merchandise, and one for visitors who want to enjoy food and drink with their merchandise shopping.
