‘Monster Hunter Outlanders’ Launches October 29 on Mobile

CAPCOM and TiMi Studio Group have announced that Monster Hunter Outlanders, a new mobile title based on the Monster Hunter franchise, will officially launch for iOS and Android on October 29. The mainland China version is scheduled to launch in 2027.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is an open-world survival game that combines elements of the Monster Hunter action series with multiplayer gameplay. Players can switch between different characters while exploring its world and hunting monsters.

The game is being developed by China’s TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent. Franchise composer Tadayoshi Makino is also returning to handle the game’s music.

TiMi Studio Group first announced the project in November 2022. The game has since revealed original content, including the Elder Dragon Ruger Aidal.

Monster Hunter Outlanders follows CAPCOM’s previous mobile title Monster Hunter Now, an augmented reality game developed with Niantic that launched for iOS and Android in September 2023.

The franchise’s latest mainline entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, launched globally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in February 2025. The game sold more than 8 million copies within its first three days and surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide by March 2025. Its Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance expansion is currently scheduled for 2027, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also in development.
