Lionsgate & Saber Interactive Announce Upcoming ‘John Wick’ Game

Lionsgate and Saber Interactive have teamed up for a new AAA video game based on the John Wick franchise, currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The currently untitled game will feature input from John Wick director Chad Stahelski and actor Keanu Reeves, with Reeves set to voice his iconic character.

The game will feature an original story set in the John Wick timeline years before the Impossible Task. It will expand on the franchise’s lore during that time with familiar characters fans already know and love, as well as compelling new ones created specifically for this production.

Fans can expect a hard-hitting gun-fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, intense driving experiences, cinematic storytelling, and a bold range of atmospherically immersive environments, all crafted to make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie. The game comes from the minds at Saber Interactive, best known as the developer of the Game Awards-nominated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

“I can’t wait for fans to step into the shoes of John Wick and explore the multi-dimensional world of The High Table,” stated Jenefer Brown, President of Global Products & Experiences at Lionsgate. “We are collaborating closely with Saber’s dedicated team to develop a game that captures the unparalleled action, brand-defining fight choreography, immersive world-building, and authenticity of the films.”

“John Wick is one of the most iconic characters in action film history. Saber is honored to be working alongside Chad, Keanu and the Lionsgate team in a true collaboration to bring the world of Wick to life in a AAA game,” said Matthew Karch, CEO at Saber Interactive.
