The romantic comedy anime Go For It, Nakamura!! is set to premiere on April 1, 2026, adapting a manga series of the same name by artist Syundei. A new teaser trailer was also released to mark the occasion.
The story follows Okuto Nakamura, a shy high school boy who harbors a secret crush on his classmate Aiki Hirose – although the two barely know one another. The original manga series earned praise for its nostalgic art style inspired by 80s’ and 90s’ manga, as well as its earnest portrayal of teenage angst.
The anime adaptation will be written and directed by Aoi Umeki, with animation handled by Drive. It will also feature a stacked cast of well-known Japanese voice actors:

- Atsushi Tamaru (Azul from Twisted Wonderland) as Ryou Mukai
- Makoto Koichi (Fuwa Renge from Blue Archive) as Yuka Hamaoka
- Yume Maihara (TAR-21 from Girls’ Frontline) as Masako Okuda
- Tsubasa Sasa (Naosuke Oyama from VazzRock the Animation) as Tsukasa Omori
