The 53rd Annie Awards will take place this February 21, celebrating the past year’s achievements in animation across TV, film, videogames, and more. Leading the charge are Sony’s K-Pop Demon Hunters and Disney’s Elio, both dominating the list with ten nominations each.
This year was also a standout one for anime, with Dan Da Dan and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc being nominated for Best Direction in their respective TV and film categories. Plus, if you sobbed for Tiny Chef when his show was cancelled, you’ll be happy to hear that he’s been nominated for a Best TV/Media – Preschool award.
